PainRecoveryPro

Shopping research for recovery, written plainly

PainRecoveryPro compares the equipment people buy during pain, injury and post-surgery recovery — with the tradeoffs, the sizing traps and the eligibility questions laid out in advance.

What this site is

Recovery shopping happens under bad conditions: a short window, a discharge sheet full of unfamiliar equipment, and a benefits balance with a deadline attached. Most of what turns up in search is either a thin list of links or a wall of marketing. We write the version we wanted — what each category of equipment is for, what separates a cheap one from an expensive one, and what to settle before you spend.

Two areas come first because they are where the decisions are hardest and the money is most constrained: FSA and HSA recovery purchases, and preparing a home before surgery.

Not medical advice: This site provides general product information for shoppers. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or determine whether a product is appropriate for a particular person. Ask a qualified clinician about your situation and follow the manufacturer’s current instructions and warnings.

What this site is not

  • Not a clinical resource. We do not diagnose, we do not recommend treatment, and we do not describe what a product will do for your body.
  • Not an eligibility authority. We describe the evidence a merchant page carries and the rules that govern reimbursement; your plan administrator decides.
  • Not a hands-on review site. Nothing here has been worn, operated, assembled or durability-tested, and every guide says so.
  • Not a review farm. Guides cover categories we can research properly rather than every product with an affiliate program attached.

The commitments behind every guide

These are the rules the guides are written against. They exist because the alternative — an affiliate site that quietly optimises for whatever pays best — is exactly what people expect when they land here.

  • Useful before enthusiastic. A guide has to help someone decide. If a product only suits a narrow situation, the guide says so instead of finding something nice to say about it.
  • Compensation does not buy placement. No affiliate program or affiliate tracking is connected to this site today. If one is ever added, which products appear and in what order is still decided before any merchant program is considered, and every page carrying a compensated link says so.
  • No clinical claims. Guides describe what a product is and how it is built. They do not describe what it will do for your body, and they do not present shopping research as care.
  • Eligibility is quoted, never asserted. A merchant’s FSA or HSA label is evidence of how that merchant classifies an item. Federal qualified medical expense rules, your plan’s terms, the nature of the expense and required substantiation control reimbursement, and documentation is product-, plan- and circumstance-specific.
  • Prices and availability are dated. A price or stock statement records the day its source was read and names the page it was read from. A figure without a date is treated as unverified.
  • Nothing is hands-on tested. No product on this site has been worn, operated, assembled or durability-tested, and no sentence may imply that one has.
  • Corrections stay visible. When a guide is updated, the date changes and the reason is recorded in the guide. Specifications and availability move quickly in this category.

How the site makes money

PainRecoveryPro does not currently earn commissions from links. No affiliate program or affiliate tracking is connected. If affiliate links are added, they will be clearly identified before publication. Compensation will not determine which products are included, their order, or how they are described.

No merchant, network or brand funds the research time today. If that changes, this page and the affiliate disclosure are updated before a compensated link is published, and the editorial standards page sets out how the separation is kept.

Site status: Any affiliate relationship this site has is stated on the affiliate disclosure page, and compensation never decides what a guide includes or how it is described — see the editorial standards. Where a guide quotes a price or availability, it is a dated snapshot of the merchant page it cites, not a live feed.

Who writes the guides

Guides are written from the documents named in them: manufacturer specifications and manuals where they are published, current merchant listings, stated return terms, and the federal and plan-level rules that govern FSA and HSA spending. Where a document could not be obtained, the guide records that gap instead of filling it.

No clinical qualification is claimed for anything on this site, and nothing here is written or reviewed as clinical guidance. Articles may use an editorial byline or a disclosed pen name; neither represents a medical credential.
